Gultekin Khan is the ex-wife of the famous novelist Humayun Ahmed who is a well-known Bangladeshi poet, and writer.
She became a media sensation after marrying Aftab Ahmed, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. This talented Gultekin Khan had a dream of becoming a doctor since his childhood but his dream was dashed due to early marriage.
Gultekin Khan loved Humayun Ahmed very much. The age difference between Humayun Ahmed and Gultenik Khan was little. Married life was going very well in the beginning but after a few days, an amazing incident happened in Gultenik Khan’s life like a thunderbolt from the sky. Humayun Ahmed fell in love with his daughter’s girlfriend actress Meher Afroz Shaon and decided to marry her.
In many ways, Gultekin tried to sustain their relationship but ultimately Gultenik Khan’s marriage with Humayun Ahmed ended in 2003.
She raised her children as a single mother after her breakup with Humayun Ahmed in 2003. Almost 16 years after the divorce, 2019 saw an amazing event happen. Gultekin Khan is married to Aftab Ahmed, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Youth and Sports.
It has been reported by various media that Aftab Ahmed’s marriage with his first wife was divorced about ten years ago. Currently, they are leading their married life very happily and peacefully.

Gultekin Khan had a dream of becoming a good doctor since his childhood but this dream was dashed due to early marriage. Gultekin Khan got married at a very young age but resumed his studies after a break.
She was admitted to Holy Cross with SSC, but before the examination, her husband Humayun Ahmed forcibly took Gultekin Khan to the United States, so her examination was not given, and her dream of studying medicine from childhood was not fulfilled. After many hurdles, he finally cleared the exam after a few years and was admitted to Dhaka University the very next year.
Gultekin Khan’s first book was published in 2016. The popularity of the book gradually increased and he published two more books in the following year.
